Cosmelan® — a professional depigmentation system
Cosmelan® is a two-part system: an in-clinic treatment mask applied by a practitioner, followed by a comprehensive home-maintenance kit. It works by inhibiting tyrosinase — the key enzyme in melanin synthesis — through a synergistic combination of actives including kojic acid, phytic acid, ascorbic acid, azelaic acid, and arbutin.
Clinical studies show significant reduction in melanin index after a single Cosmelan protocol. It is the treatment of choice for melasma — one of the most challenging pigmentation conditions to treat — and is equally effective for post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation in medium to dark skin tones.
